About the Mission

Enterprise architect Fedasil Mission This is a mission within the Fedasil agency within the ICT service. This assignment is necessary within the establishment of the FPS Migration. Fedasil strives to professionalize the data exchange between various internal applications and external sources, among other things to facilitate reporting. The chosen solution involves the implementation of a centralized data layer. In addition, the agency participates in the eMigration program, and the challenges of meeting architectural and information communication expectations are significant. eMigration is the program that sets up computerization and optimization for the following entities (DVZ, CGVS and RVV). When setting up the FPS Migration, it is desirable to arrive at a joint tobe architecture for the eMigration program and the various programs that exist within Fedasil. To successfully carry out these strategic and tactical missions for Fedasil, it is proposed to appoint an Enterprise/Business Architect, whose expertise is currently not available within the agency. That is why it has been decided to launch this function as a mission for a consultant on the market. Objectives The Enterprise Architect is responsible for compiling an inventory of applications (including Match-IT, CAAMI, Cumul, etc.). He/she must also describe all data flows within the agency, including those with external parties (Social Security Crossroads, Civil Register, partners, etc.). A significant part of this data is stored in a data warehouse.Based on this inventory, he/she can propose a targeted solution to create a centralized data layer that facilitates data exchange between applications. On the one hand, the agency can more easily generate reports from consolidated databases by cross-referencing available data. On the other hand, Fedasil’s participation in the eMigration program is optimized (in consultation with the architect of the eMigration program) by simplifying data flows within the agency and centralizing the data to be exchanged. This includes the following concrete assignments Business architect: To guarantee the link between application and data layer (see below) on the one hand and the customer on the other hand at a tactical and strategic level, a business architecture is set up. Drawing up a capability map. Application layer: Inventory and analysis of (AS IS and TO BE) application landscape. Data layer: Mapping (AS IS and TO BE) relationships and links between the above applications, data flows and proposals for optimization via Centralized Data Layer (Taking into account current architectural components Azure Data Warehouse and PowerBI and in consultation with software architect of Match-IT and the Head of Data and Analysis). Analyze current documentation and set up an action plan to get it up to standard. Analyzing synergies and gaps within your own architecture and identifying possible optimizations with the eMigration program (in consultation with the eMigration architect) and the FPS Migration. This position will initially be deployed in the context of the Support Services Working Group in the context of the establishment of the FPS Migration. This for the following domains: ICT, HR, Facility/LOG, FIN/MP. Assignments will be further adjusted and refined in mutual consultation and can be adjusted as necessary.

AI Daily Digest

Today’s developments underline two parallel forces shaping the sector: an extraordinary appetite for compute and inference capacity, and a regulatory landscape that keeps shifting beneath it. Below are the stories worth knowing.

Baseten nears $1.5B raise at a $13B valuation

Inference startup Baseten is finalizing a roughly $1.5 billion funding round that would value the company at up to $13 billion, according to reporting from TechCrunch. The deal, backed by investors including Altimeter, Spark Capital and Wellington, marks a roughly 160% jump from the $5 billion valuation it secured just five months ago. The surge reflects soaring demand for running open-source models as a lower-cost alternative to closed-source APIs.

xAI brings Grok 4.3 to Amazon Bedrock

xAI has made Grok 4.3 generally available on Amazon Bedrock, extending the model to AWS enterprise customers with a 1-million-token context window and configurable reasoning levels, per release tracking. The move continues a broader trend of frontier labs distributing their models through major cloud marketplaces rather than relying solely on first-party APIs.

Mistral ships Voxtral text-to-speech

Paris-based Mistral released Voxtral, a text-to-speech system featuring zero-shot voice cloning, multilingual support and real-time streaming, according to its release notes. The launch pushes the European lab further into the fast-growing voice and audio category, where low-latency synthesis is becoming a competitive battleground.

EU resets the AI Act timeline

European negotiators have advanced the “Digital Omnibus” package, the first set of amendments to the EU AI Act since its adoption, as detailed by Global Policy Watch. The changes defer several high-risk obligations into 2027 while adding new prohibitions targeting non-consensual intimate imagery and child sexual abuse material. For companies, it means more breathing room on compliance paired with sharper red lines.

What to watch: whether record inference valuations translate into sustainable margins as open-source models keep narrowing the gap with closed frontier systems.

About the Mission

Smals is seeking an experienced Scrum Master for the Prescriptions Program. In this role, the candidate will support four teams operating within the domains of medicinal prescriptions, referral prescriptions, referral prescription support, and the MyHealth mobile application. These are long-term, strategically important initiatives with multi-year roadmaps. Each team is overseen by a Project Manager following the PRINCE2 methodology, while the delivery teams operate according to Scrum principles. The referral prescription teams additionally apply the SAFe framework to support quarterly planning and coordination activities. The client, NIHDI, provides a Business Project Manager for each workstream and a Product Owner for some streams. We are looking for a senior professional who combines strong expertise in Agile methodologies with a pragmatic and results-oriented approach. The ideal candidate is capable of coaching both development teams and stakeholders in the consistent application of Scrum and Agile practices, while ensuring that any necessary adaptations preserve the underlying Agile values and principles. The role also requires the ability to operate effectively within a complex organizational environment, where certain governance structures and roles may not always align fully with a pure Agile framework. As part of the long-term evolution of the program, the successful candidate will be expected to take on the Release Train Engineer (RTE) role from 2027 onwards. The candidate should therefore demonstrate both the ambition and capability to grow into this position and obtain the SAFe Release Train Engineer certification by the end of 2026. Given the highly colllaborative nature of the position, excellent communication skills are essential. Professional proficiency in French, Dutch, and English is therefore required.

The 52nd G7 summit closed today in Évian-les-Bains with artificial intelligence dominating the agenda, as heads of state shared the stage with the founders of the world’s leading AI labs. Governance, child safety online, and the widening gap between model capability and regulation framed the day’s most consequential developments.

G7 agrees first joint approach to child safety and “safe AI growth”

Leaders from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the UK, the US and the EU endorsed a common set of principles requiring online services to build safety and effective age assurance into products by design. The framework also commits members to address risks from AI chatbots and to improve data sharing among platforms, parents and researchers. The UK government called it the bloc’s first-ever joint approach to protecting children online while supporting responsible AI deployment.

AI’s top founders lobby leaders in person

For the first time, the chief executives of OpenAI, Anthropic and Google DeepMind — Sam Altman, Dario Amodei and Demis Hassabis — attended a G7 summit together, alongside Mistral’s Arthur Mensch, Cohere’s Aidan Gomez and Meta’s Alexandr Wang. The tech contingent focused on AI infrastructure and regulation, the two pressure points where frontier labs and governments keep colliding as capability races ahead of the rules meant to contain it.

OpenAI presses for a youth AI safety institute

Ahead of the summit, OpenAI published a set of youth safety principles — privacy-preserving age estimation, default safeguards when a user’s age is uncertain, annual risk assessments and stronger protocols around self-harm and exploitation. The company proposed a dedicated youth AI safety institute to keep standards aligned with fast-moving systems beyond any single summit.

Europe’s labs ride the policy moment

Mensch’s presence underscored Europe’s push to field a home-grown frontier champion. Mistral has continued to expand its ambitions against OpenAI and Anthropic, and the summit gave European players a platform to argue that sovereignty and safety can advance together rather than at odds.

What to watch: whether this week’s voluntary commitments gain enforcement teeth — and whether Google ships the long-expected Gemini 3.5 Pro, which Sundar Pichai has promised “next month,” before the policy ink dries.

Tuesday’s AI news was defined by politics and hardware: Anthropic dispatched senior staff to Washington to undo an export standoff that has taken its top models offline, while ByteDance signaled a deeper turn toward domestic chips. Fresh funding rounds and a pointed message from Microsoft’s CEO rounded out the day.

Anthropic flies staff to D.C. to resolve White House model dispute

Senior technical staff from Anthropic are on the ground in Washington this week, working to repair a dispute that pushed its newest models, Fable 5 and Mythos 5, offline globally. The clash followed an administration order to block foreign-national access to the models; both sides now say they want the systems restored, though the shape of a fix remains unclear. Axios reported the in-person sessions are expected to continue through the week.

ByteDance turns to Chinese GPU makers for AI inference

ByteDance is in talks with Shanghai-based Iluvatar CoreX to buy AI inference chips and is weighing a parallel deal for Baidu’s Kunlunxin processors, according to Reuters. A deal would make Iluvatar CoreX ByteDance’s third major domestic GPU supplier after Huawei and Cambricon, underscoring how quickly Chinese accelerators are eroding Nvidia’s share of that market.

Capital keeps flowing into applied AI

Investors continued to back narrowly focused AI products. Sandstone raised a $30 million Series A led by Lightspeed to automate workflows for in-house legal teams, just months after its seed round. Meanwhile, accessibility startup Rylo (formerly Nagish) added $85 million to expand real-time captioning and sign-language translation tools, pushing its total funding past $100 million.

Nadella: own your AI “learning loops”

In a post on X, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella argued that companies must build and own their AI “learning loops” to compound human and token capital over time, warning that those who don’t risk ceding value to a small handful of frontier-model providers. The remarks sharpened a growing debate over how much of the AI stack enterprises should control themselves.

What to watch: whether Anthropic and the White House reach a workable compromise this week to bring Fable 5 and Mythos 5 back online.

Washington’s Anthropic Crackdown Sends Shockwaves Through Global AI

A single U.S. government order has dominated the AI agenda over the past day, forcing Anthropic to disable two of its most capable models worldwide and reigniting a global debate about who really controls frontier AI. Reliability concerns added a separate, awkward storyline of their own.

U.S. directive forces Anthropic to pull two frontier models

Anthropic suspended global access to its Fable 5 and Mythos 5 models after a Commerce Department order, signed by Secretary Howard Lutnick, demanded the company cut off all foreign-national access on national-security grounds. Rather than build a partial block, Anthropic disabled the models entirely for every customer, an unusually blunt response to a government mandate. The episode is among the most direct interventions yet by Washington into a leading lab’s product line. (CNN Business)

White House ties the curbs to China and resists widening them

Officials linked the restrictions to suspicions that a China-linked group had accessed Mythos, alongside a warning that Fable 5 could be jailbroken. According to reporting, the controls followed several tense calls between CEO Dario Amodei and administration officials. For now, a source says the White House is unlikely to extend similar export limits to other AI companies. (Semafor)

India confronts its dependence on foreign AI

The suspension landed hard in India, Anthropic’s second-largest market, where firms such as TCS and Infosys had built strategies around its models. The disruption has revived calls for “sovereign AI,” with Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu urging local organizations to lean on smaller, open-source systems they can control. (TechCrunch)

KPMG pulls an AI report riddled with AI hallucinations

In an unrelated but telling stumble, KPMG withdrew its flagship report “Redefining excellence in the age of agentic AI” after organizations including UBS and the UK’s NHS said claims about their AI use were fabricated. Researchers found that of 45 citations, only five pointed to genuine sources, with the errors traced to AI hallucinations. (TechCrunch)

What to watch: whether other governments follow Washington’s lead on frontier-model export controls, and how quickly the “sovereign AI” push translates into real investment outside the U.S.
