About the Mission
The General Commissioner for Refugees and Stateless Persons is an independent federal administration. The mission of the CGRS is to provide protection to persons who are at risk of persecution or serious harm in the event of return to their country of origin. In accordance with Belgian, European and international standards, the CGRS examines every application for international protection in an individual, objective and impartial manner. A modernization process has been started within the CGRS, translated into the eDossier program. It is a very ambitious program, consisting of a number of projects, with a very tight timing. To further shape and develop the program, we are looking for strong profiles who want to commit themselves temporarily (contracts with a fixed duration, can be terminated immediately, extendable through positive evaluation) until delivery, expected until at least the end of 2028. One of the profiles we are looking for is a Solution Engineer – Scrum/Agile Delivery Master, expert level (+10 years of experience). We are not looking for an agile coach. We are looking for a solution engineer with Java cloud engineering background and with very strong recent experience as a scrum/agile delivery master. You are joining an initiative that is already underway, which poses a major challenge. A description of the tasks and competencies can be found below. You form a team with very experienced, very competent and motivated people. The team consists entirely of expert profiles. If you feel addressed by the basic mission of the CGRS and you are a match with the range of tasks and the required competencies, do not hesitate to apply. If you are looking for a pure lead and/or pure advice position, please refrain. The emphasis is on hands-on coordination, follow-up, adjustment, design and implementation. Anyone looking for 4 days of teleworking will also be disappointed. To promote team spirit, we ask that you be present at the office 3 days a week. Our offices are located next to Brussels South station. – Degree in computer science higher education, short or long type, or a diploma in civil engineering, obtained from a recognized European college or university, is mandatory (diploma must be present together with CV within pro unity platform), – Continuously educating oneself to stay informed of the latest sustainable trends and innovations, primarily with a focus on software/solution developments that use structured and unstructured data in hybrid cloud environments, – 10 years of hands-on experience with design/definition and development of APIs, – 10 years of hands on experience with development and integration of micro services, – 10 years of hands on Java SE experience, – 5 years of hands on experience with Java SE10+ – 5 years of hands on experience as a scrum/agile delivery master, whether or not combined with the role of Java developer or software architect
