About the Mission

Context
The SPW uses a content management tool (CMS) to manage its websites. The standard CMS tool used is the Jahia CMS (in version 8).

  • In many cases, developments are necessary to customize this CMS tool to the specific business needs of the SPW.
  • In order to meet this need, SPW Digital has created a Multichannel Service Center within the Service and Delivery Management Department which notably has expertise around the Jahia CMS through its website team.
  • This team set up, on the one hand, a shared Jahia environment (called the site factory) in order to host the SPW websites and, on the other hand, a certain number of services around this platform.
  • The site factory hosts around 80 SPW and firm websites with a total of around 13,000,000 visits per year which pass through the Jahia servers (all sites combined).
  • Objectives
The Multichannel Service Center website team has 3 main objectives:

Maintain and develop Jahia shared environments.

  • Ensure the services implemented around the site factory and provide continuous improvement in their quality.
  • Ensure effective industrialization and sharing in the development of websites on Jahia.

  • Carry out technical-functional analyzes to propose solutions that meet the needs of the business and which maintain a good level of sharing through the different websites deployed on our Jahia platform.
  • Ensure developments to carry out evolutionary and corrective maintenance of all templates, modules and components developed by the website team while respecting the functional and technical architecture of the shared Jahia platform in place.
  • Define technical and functional recommendations for developers to accommodate their development on the shared Jahia platform.
  • Provide reasoned and structured opinions on technical-functional analyzes as part of the development of a site.
  • Ensure the validation and deployment on the Jahia shared environment of developments carried out by a developer.
