NxtPort is the digital link in the digital port infrastructure of the port of Antwerp-Bruges. We create digital platforms to make the port faster, safer and more efficient.

    FUNCTION
    As a Senior Business Analyst you play a key role in translating complex business processes into scalable digital solutions within a multi-stakeholder environment.

  • You work at the intersection of business, technology and product development, and guide organizations in their digital transformation.
  • You analyze processes, define requirements, support product roadmaps and work closely with product owners, architects and development teams to realize high-quality digital platforms.
  • This role is ideal for an analytically strong professional with experience in platform ecosystems, maritime logistics digitalization, who wants to make an impact both strategically and operationally.
  • RESPONSIBLE
    Business Analysis & Requirements Engineering

    Translate business needs into clear functional and non-functional requirements.

  • Developing BPMN processes, data and system models, sequence diagrams and user stories.
  • Facilitating workshops with various stakeholders (business, IT, external partners).
  • Carrying out impact analyzes and supporting solution design.
  • Product & Delivery

    Supporting product owners with roadmap definition, backlog prioritization and value delivery.

  • Collaborate with development teams within an Agile/Scrum environment.
  • Monitoring quality, scope and planning during the entire delivery lifecycle.
  • Coordinating releases, go-lives and change management.
  • Stakeholder management

    Act as a bridge between business, IT, external partners and operational teams.

  • Building strong relationships within complex ecosystems (e.g.
  • logistics, financial sector).
  • Advising stakeholders on process optimization and digital options.
  • Business Architecture (pre)

    Contribute to high-level process architecture, capability mapping and domain modeling.

  • Supporting initiatives around enterprise and business architecture (TOGAF, BIZBOK).
  • PROFILE
    Must‑haves

    At least 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst and Product Owner.

  • Strong expertise in requirements engineering, process modeling (BPMN) and functional analysis.
  • Experience with digital platforms, API-driven ecosystems or complex chain processes in maritime logistics digitalization (preferably Container and Breakbulk sector), and platform ecosystems
    Excellent communication skills and maturity in stakeholder management.
  • Analytical, structured and able to translate complex matter clearly.
  • Demonstrable experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Experience with tools such as Azure DevOps, PlantUML, BPMNmodelers, wireframing tools such as figma.
  • Nice‑to‑haves

    Knowledge of business architecture methods (BIZBOK, TOGAF).

  • Coaching or chapter lead experience.

  • Security screening: All consultants/freelancers who will be employed by Nxtport are subject to Security screening: The screening consists of a comprehensive investigation into the background and reliability of a person.
  • This research is carried out by using various judicial and police databases.
  • The purpose is to assess whether a person is trustworthy to perform a critical function and/or to gain access to sensitive infrastructure.
  • The screening applies to numerous sectors, including the port sector.
  • When submitting the proposal, the Supplier must agree to only propose Consultants who are willing to undergo this security screening.
  • The security screening process may take up to 30 days: the Supplier accepts this waiting period and ensures that the candidate remains available during the screeningng process.
  • Only the Supplier Consultant(s) selected by the Customer for this contract will be subject to the security screening.
  • ProUnity will contact the Supplier to request the contact details of the accepted Consultant(s).
  • After receiving this information, the Customer’s Security Officer will contact the accepted Consultant(s) and ask them to complete the forms giving their express consent to conduct the security investigation.
  • The Customer’s Security Officer (as administrative authority) will forward the individual security investigation request to the competent Federal Police, which will prepare a security opinion based on the security investigation.
  • A negative security opinion will be communicated to the relevant Consultant via the Customer’s Security Officer (as administrative authority).
  • This notification states the reasons justifying this decision, with the exception of information the communication of which could harm the fundamental interests of Belgium or the State.
  • The notice also contains information about the possibility of appealing against this decision.
  • If there is no positive safety result (for example when no advice can be given) from the Federal Police, the vacancy will be terminated without contracting.
  • If the positive safety advice is lost during the term of the contract, the contract will be terminated without any compensation.
  • The candidate has his/her permission to make safety verification critical functions available via the Maritime Security Unit (at the request of Nxtport) for the position in question.
