About the Mission

1. Presentation of ETNIC ETNIC (Enterprise for Information and Communication Technologies) is the IT operator of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation. A public interest organization, ETNIC’s mission is to design, develop, maintain and evolve information systems and technological infrastructures serving the administrations and establishments of the FWB. A central player in the digital transformation of the Belgian French-speaking public sector, ETNIC operates in various areas such as: IT infrastructure management (networks, security, data centers, cloud), Development of tailor-made business applications, Support for digital projects (functional analysis, UX/UI, project management), Cybersecurity and data protection, User support and training. In a constant concern for innovation, performance and public service, ETNIC regularly collaborates with external partners to strengthen its teams through IT consultancy missions. These collaborations are part of an ethical, professional framework oriented towards the quality and concrete impact of the solutions delivered. 2. Mission In this context, ETNIC is strengthening its BI teams via a specialized SAP BusinessObjects consultancy mission, oriented to ETL, data integration and reporting. The mission focuses on technical and operational support for the SAP BusinessObjects platform, with a focus on SAP BODS, SQL, IDT universe and Web Intelligence, in a multi-source and multi-environment. 3. Activities 1. Data Integration & ETL – SAP BODS Analysis of data sources (DB2 LUW, DB2 UDB, SQL Server, flat files, CSV). Design and development of ETL flows with SAP BusinessObjects Data Services (BODS): Jobs, workflows and dataflows, Mapping, transformation rules, error management. Performance optimization (volumetry, parallelization). Implementation of good industrialization practices: Configuration, Logs, Incident recovery, Technical documentation. 2. SQL & Datawarehouse Modeling and supply of staging, ODS and data mart structures. SQL development: Complex queries, Views, Functions and stored procedures if necessary. Analysis and optimization of SQL performance in connection with BODS processing. 3. SAP BusinessObjects Universe – IDT Design and maintenance of universes with Information Design Tool (IDT): Semantic model, Joins, Contexts, Calculated objects. Optimization of universes for efficient and robust use in Web Intelligence. 4. Reporting – SAP Web Intelligence (WebI) Design and evolution of SAP Web Intelligence reports: Queries, Variables, Formulas, Formatting. Support and correction of existing reports. Assistance to business users (understanding of data, interpretation of results). 5. Environment management & documentation Structured work on the Development, Acceptance and Production environments. Participation in transport and production processes (ETL, universe, reports). Compliance with BI governance, security and traceability rules. Documentation of delivered solutions and transfer of knowledge to internal teams.
